EXPECTED SIDE EFFECTS

Following microdermabrasion, you may experience:
✔ Mild redness and swelling in the treated area
✔ Skin tenderness similar to mild sunburn
✔ Peeling or flaking as the skin renews itself
✔ Occasional bruising, which may take 1-2 weeks to resolve

These effects should improve significantly within 48 hours but may take longer to fully subside.

AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS

AVOID FOR BEST HEALING:

• Harsh skincare products – No perfumes, fake tan, or harsh chemicals for 72 hours

• Makeup – Avoid for 24 hours to reduce infection risk
  Skin exfoliation – No scrubs, peels, or treatments for 72 hours

• Sweating & heat – No strenuous exercise, saunas, sunbeds, or exposure to heat for 72 hours

• Swimming – Avoid pools for 72 hours

• Alcohol & caffeine – Avoid excess consumption for 48 hours

• Active ingredients – No alpha hydroxy acids, retinol, or glycolic acid for 7 days

• Cosmetic treatments – No Botox, fillers, or hair removal (e.g., waxing) for 2 weeks or until redness and swelling subside

SKINCARE ROUTINE AFTER TREATMENT

✔ Moisturise regularly – Apply a gentle, fragrance-free moisturiser 2-3 times daily (or more if your skin feels dry)
✔ Sun protection – Wear SPF 30+ sunscreen for at least 2 weeks, as your skin will be more sensitive to sunlight
✔ Gentle cleansing – Use a mild cleanser and pat skin dry instead of rubbing

WHEN TO CONTACT US

Seek medical attention immediately if you experience:

o Signs of infection – Hot, red, shiny skin, pus formation, fever, or feeling unwell

o Severe reactions – Unexpected swelling, prolonged irritation, or any concerning side effects
